ABSTRACT
Fiber-based interferometers are attractive building blocks for quantum communication, quantum networking, and quantum metrology because they are compact, compatible with standard telecom components, and maintain stable spatial mode overlap without repeated free-space realignment. At the same time, their practical deployment is strongly limited by phase noise arising from thermal drift, acoustic perturbations, vibrations, and polarization fluctuations, all of which rapidly reduce interference visibility in single- and multi-photon experiments. This contribution reports the design and experimental characterization of an actively stabilized fiber-based Mach–Zehnder interferometric platform developed for operation from the classical regime down to the single-photon level, with direct applicability to correlated-photon interference.
